Start with a lesson your class already knows. Identify the idea learners should be able to explain.

Explore it in different ways
Offer an explanation, a visual approach, and a practice activity. Encourage learners to switch approaches as their questions change.

Check understanding together
Ask learners to apply the idea to a fresh example. Review the reasoning, not just the final answer.
